Winsor Newton 11 x 14 inch Prestretched Canvas- Pack of 6

Winsor Newton 11 x 14 inch Prestretched Canvas- Pack of 6. Prestretched Canvas...We have tried many brands of prestretched canvas; and we have listened to customer feedback as well. One brand that keeps coming out on top is Winsor & Newton. Their prestretched canvases are made with 8oz natural cotton duck. The stretcher bars are 13/16 inch deep and feature staple free edges- the canvas is stapled onto the back of the stretcher bars so the edges can be painted to display finished paintings with or without framing. Each canvas is triple primed with acid free sizing and two coats of highly pigmented acrylic primer (gesso).

This priming offers balanced absorbency and tooth while preventing oil paints from sinking or soaking through. The stretcher bars themselves are kiln dried and have beveled edges. Each canvas is stretched by hand and there is ample canvas on the back if you should decide to restretch the finished painting. Ideal for use with oil acrylic and alkyd paints. for the price, these brushes are perfect! they are a lot better than my old ones that had fallen apart. really helped my painting skills out.

I bought these for my wife awhile back with some paints to hopefully get her back into her love for painting and she has had no complaints at all. For the price, you are a getting a good selection of brushes and a little holder for them all. They are not of the greatest quality, but they are not of the worst either.
If you are a beginner wanting to get into painting, I suggest this as a decent started set of brushes, or if you just need some extra brushes but do not want to spend a lot of money on nice onces that you are just going to trash or anything, this is a good set.

Mediocore, but great for the price4
Though you may get what you pay for, these brushes are a steal for the price. They're cheap, and the quality shows the price...yet insofar, none have broken, and now that they're broken-in, they aren't terrible.
